We're having issues with Outlook 2011 for Mac having login failures on occasion, but only when the laptops are not at our workplace.
Tested on 3 different laptops. They all have the latest Outlook for Mac (14.3.6). The third one, I just setup this afternoon; Outlook was not used on that laptop before today. That laptop also use Sparrow to connect (using IMAP) to the same account. Sparrow never has login failures, but Outlook does.
Those login failures happen on two different ISPs. At work, we have a 3rd ISP, and those login failures never happen at work, on any of the 3 laptops.
The exact error message Outlook gives is:
Mail could not be received at this time.
The server for account [Domain removed by moderator] returned the error "Logon failure: unknown user name or bad password." Your username/password or security settings may be incorrect. Would you like to try re-entering your password?
The server used is: https://outlook.office365.com/EWS/Exchange.asmx
We have no AD or Exchange servers whatsoever at work (we have no Windows computers of any kind in fact).
