I have a user that has a Macbook Pro running Office 365 and he has the following issues:
The server for account "company" returned the error "Logon failure: unknown user name or bad password." Your username/password or security settings may be incorrect. Would you like to try re-entering your password?
I enter the password and it sometimes accepts the password and connects to company. But more often than not, it tries to connect then pops the message back up.
Eventually it will tell me that I need to connect to the 365 server and follow instructions then restart outlook. I do that. There are never any instructions. But, this allows me to start outlook and connect about 75% of the time. The other 25% it doesn’t do anything and I am forced to restart my mac in order for it to connect.
I have deleted my keychain entries for all things outlook and exchange and that did not help.
I have repaired my keychain about 100 times. That does nothing.
