Re: Search bar is randomly disappearing and re-appearing in any given of my sharepoint sites and subsites

Hi Jeremy,

I suggest you try to check whether you have done the proper search settings. The steps are as below.

1. Open Team Site, click Site Actions> Site Settings, and click the Go to top level site settings under Site Collection Administration. 

2. Click Search settings under Site Collection Administration. Ensure you check Do not use custom scopes. Use only contextual scopes (such as "This site"). The screenshot shows as below. 

3. Ensure that the Allow this web to appear in search results option is selected. Click Search and offline availability under Site Administration.  The screenshot shows as below. 

If the issue persists, please collect the following information for further troubleshooting.

Whether the sites or the subsites inherit permissions from their parent site or the top site collection?
