Currently we receive an update from our higher-level team about the Lync 14.0.7 sign-up issue. here is the information:

We have seen many reports that customers encountered the issue that Lync for Mac v14.0.7 cannot sign in on Mac machines. After some further tests, we find that the issue occurs when we set the time zone as Asia location. If we change the time zone like Honolulu, New York, London, and Moscow, the Lync is enable to sign in.

Now I’d like to confirm whether your time zone have been set as Asia. If so, please try changing the time zone as a workaround to see if the issue persists.
Microsoft is fully aware of this issue and the engineers are investigating on it. If there are any updates, we will keep our customers informed. Sorry for the inconvenience caused by the issue. And your understanding and patience are highly appreciated.
