I recently switched to the new Outlook for Mac from Office 365. I noticed when attempting to send messages with large attachments (30MB+ for example) Outlook will try briefly to send the message, then fail indicating the message size is too large. I never had this issue with Outlook for Windows on the same Exchange server.
Just to test this, I took the file that I was unable to send in Outlook for Mac, started up a VMWare virtual machine running Windows 7 and the newest Office, and attempted to send the same email to my coworkers. The email sent fine, no complaints about message size.
Why can Outlook for Windows send large messages, but Outlook for Mac cannot? Is there a workaround?
