The Document Connection is used to access the files through network directly. The OneDrive for Business app is the official sync tool but it is not feasible to sync libraries on SharePoint site at present. We highly appreciate your valuable feedback and the engineering team will hear your voice.
Based on my research, seems no usable third-party tool is available. Other community members are welcome to share any information on this.
