I made a test from my side. I could reproduce it from my side. The shared contacts could be viewed but they could not be displayed in category lists. Meanwhile, Outlook 2013 in Windows worked fine.
This is by designed in Outlook for Mac. Please send us a feedback by clicking on the Send-a-Smile icon which is located on the top right corner of every Outlook for Mac window. Many features have been designed and upgraded based on our customers’ great comments.
