How does one know if a User was accidentally disconnected or unlicensed? I am the Administrator of our Office 365 Tenant and I did not touch either user's licenses or enable disable them.

So while KB 2811654 seems to talk about a similar issue (contacts list is empty - can't add contacts or groups) I can't confirm if the cause is the same because from our perspective, none of these users was disconnected or unlicensed. Could they have been disconnected or unlicensed during the clouds upgrade to 2013 components?
