publish your own website

Hi,

Easy question here.  I did not see where it said exactly whether or not you could mover a site that you currently had into the public sharepoint site that we have with Office365.  I have a status website that I would like to port over and thereby reduce my cost and management of an external site.

Is this possible? or are we restricted to using the Sharepoint framework and just adding content and pictures?

I want to have my own look and feel to the site.  I just don't see where I can do that???

Hi Khaled,

For the time being, it is not available to publish the InfoPath form to the public website.

You can send the form by publishing the form to e-mail. For detailed information about how to publish to e-mail, please refer to:
office.microsoft.com/.../publish-a-form-HA101783381.aspx (InfoPath 2010)

Thanks,
Young Yang

There are several ways you can import another site outlined here. If by "status web site" you mean "static", it might work - dynamic sites using php etc won't. You can also use css to completely change the look and feel of the default site.

Hi Ermin,

How are things going?

As a workaround, you could new a List Workflow or Reusable Workflow, then add "Start Approval Process"  action to define a approval workflow.

How can the End user download Info filler tool? Is it free online or he should have InfoPath?

Error: Failed to update permissions during Impersonation Step in Workflow

Hi,

We are having the following problem when a workflow created with Sharepoint Designer 2010 which is configured to run when a list item is created or modified. The problem seems to occur randomly, out of 1900 items in the list (created/update numerous times) it has occurred 5 times and at different times for different users.

The workflow contains an Impersonation Step which only contains actions that set permissions on the item.

This is production system and this workflow error is breaking the business process (expense claim), hence impacting us severely.

Workflow History

The following events have occurred in this workflow.

Can you support?

Hi Khaled,

InfoPath Filler is a component of InfoPath. To fill out the forms using InfoPath Filler, end users should have InfoPath installed.

For InfoPath 2010, InfoPath Designer 2010 and InfoPath Filler 2010 are included. InfoPath Designer and InfoPath Filler are installed on client computers as part of Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2010. You can refer to this article to know more about InfoPath 2010:

Thank you for the reply. this is said because office365 is great for small business. We use Mysql because its free with unlimited database with our webhost and works for our current budget. what is more crazy is services like www.layer2.de/.../Cloud-Connector-for-SharePoint-2010-Office365.aspx offer what i need but we are priced out due to our budget. My tip is offer sql express online line many webhost and microsoft would gain more users to the full SQL as they grow. I will submit feedback as well thanks again

I have created a blog and only see the "blog Navigation" on the left quick link border.

Under my blog site i have created doc libraries. I do not see them on the left.

I went into site settings, Navigation and what i see there, is what I want displayed, but somehow it is being overwritten with the blog Nav...

Thanks for any help with this.

Hi Ermin,

I have reproed the issue in another tenant.  When I assigned "Approvers" or "CC" in modified approval workflow, "The form cannot be submitted because of an error" occurred.

And I resolved the issue by deleting xsi:nil="true" in "Approvers" and "CC" fields from .xoml.wconfig.xml file. From your post, I found you have not removed the xsi:nil="true" from <d:Assignee xsi:nil="true"/> under "Approvers"  field. That is why "Approvers" people picker doesn't work.

Here could you please take your time to remove xsi:nil="true" from <d:Assignee xsi:nil="true"/> as the following snapshot shows? It should be able to resolve your issue.

If there is any questions, please feel free to let us know and we are happy to help.

Hi lheath,

I understand you would like to change the left Navigation on your blog site, in order to show up the document libraries you created.

As far as I know, the blog site is a special site that has its own navigation showing up Categories list by default. Meanwhile, the navigation is not available to be changed by configurations in Site Settings. In addition, for users who want to show up the document libraries they created, they can achieve this by clicking All Site Content at the left navigation.

Thanks,

How to make single workflow run for multiple documents upload? Changes made to the single workflow must affect the documents related to it. How can this be achieved?
