I have recently signed up for the Office 365 home service. As part of this I wish to have fully synchronised services between my Mac Desktop, cloud and mobile devices. I've had no issue doing this with all documents and have accounts configured on iPads and iPhones. However I'm really struggling with Outlook. I sign onto each service using an outlook.com address. This is of no consequence to me that it's outlook.com as I don;t currently use the mail service although I am likely to in the future.
The only service that I've been unable to configure is getting the calender and contacts to sync with the information in the cloud through Microsoft's Mac applications. The calender does sync to iPhone and iPad. The only way I've been able to sign onto Outlook on the mac has been through using the account ending in outlook.com but as I said I don't care about that. All I want is fully synced services for office 365 which is what I'm paying for. If that means a new email address, that's fine by me. It could be that I'm somehow using the wrong sign in credientials but the outlook.com ones are the only ones I know to use.
The irony and frustration of the only application this is not working with is Microsoft's own hasn't been lost on me.
