I hope someone can help me with this. I followed the instructions on the Outlook 365 webpage, detailing how to export contact files from a current email account into Outlook 365. The export went exactly as detailed, with no problems.
The file is large, though, containing over 4,000 lines. When I tried to import it into Outlook, I received an error message, telling me I needed to enter it as smaller files. I used FileSplitter SE, a splitting program for Macs, which split the original cvs file into 3 parts. They were automatically named:
aa-yahoo_contacts.csv
ab-yahoo_contacts.csv
ac-yahoo_contacts.csv
Only the first (as-yahoo_contacts.csv) of the 3 split files went into the Outlook contact list. The other 2 wouldn't go in--I got continued error messages saying that I needed to submit them in csv format. This is the error message I received:
The format of the CSV file isn't correct. Please be sure that the file was exported in the Outlook CSV format.
