Before moving on, I would like to confirm the following things:
1. Have you added webparts into the site you created?
2. Do you create a custom template of site collection or exist template?
3. Do you delete the web part that display the items on that list and add it back?
Based on the current situation, to narrow down this issue, please check if there are any other templates from solutions gallery or recycle bin. In addition, you can re-create a new site from site template with a new name, and do not change anything. After that, please save the site as template again to see if any improvement.
