I’d like to clarify the information in the software page, can you help to provide it via the steps below?
1. Login to Office 365 with your account.
2. Click the Office 365 settings icon on the top right.
3. Click software.
4. Capture a snapshot as the following screenshot shows. I will help to check whether the activation is accepted on the server side.
Meanwhile, do other users in your organization have the same issue? As an alternative choice, you can try using another user’s account to activate the product. Then check whether the issue disappear. Please make sure this user account has valid Office 365 license.
In addition, what’s the version of your Mac OS? From my side, it is Mac OS X 10.8.3 and there is no such activation issue. You may also verify whether installing OS updates can eliminate this issue.
