Onedrive for business (Mac OS) crashes on startup

Since installing Office 2016 on my Macs, I have trouble with Onedrive for business.

On my Mac Pro it keeps processing files, and taking up to 60% of CPU power all the time, but actually never does anything.

On my Macbook it is more straightforward. It just crashes when you start it.

In one post I read you could delete the cache and the preference, but that didn't help. Also uninstalling, deleting the cache and preference file and reinstalling it doesn't solve this issue.

OneDrive (consumer edition) just works fine. Unfortunately I just cancelled my extra storage subscription, because I got Office365 with OneDrive for Business... 

Can I do anything? Or is this a widespread issue?

I use:

Mac OS X 10.10.2, latest security updates.
Office 2016
Office 2011
