Office 365 for MAC book pro

$

Just got my first MAC - mainly as we need to develop apps for IOS. I was hoping this would still work with Office 365 and Microsoft Office. As a company we pay for two office 365 license and also are a Microsoft Partner Action Pack which entitles us to multiple office Pro licenses plus other things.

Anyway I am really lost. Can use the Office 365 via web browser okay, but was hoping to be able to work offline. As an example NOTEBOOK says it needs to activate, but when I attempt to sign in with the corporate 365 account it say that account it already signed in.

Q. Should I be able to run Notepad, Excl, Work, Outlook on this new Mac Book Pro given I have Action Pack and also office 365 or am I missing something. Working through the Office 365 admin it talks about iPhones and iPads  but nothing specifically about MAC Books?

Regards

Rob

I'm using Outlook 2007.  My PC has been updated for all Microsoft updates through 3/27/15.

Yes, they also appear in my Sent folder in Outlook 365 Web App.

I've deleted everything in my Deleted Items folder and it still persists.

Let me know what other things I can try.  Thanks.

I am running chrome version 41.0.2272.104 on my retina screen macbook pro and this issue occurs.  I just upgraded my macbook air, which does not have the problem, from 40.0.2214.111 to the same as my macbook pro, expecting to get the same problem but I didn't.  So now both macbook are on the same Mac OSX 10.10.2 and the same chrome but only the macbook pro has the scrolling problem.  so is the issue with apple then?

Does your MacBook Air have a retina display?  From what I have seen, this only occurs on retina displays.  If you hook up an external monitor to your MacBook Pro and try Chrome on that monitor, it should also work fine.

Hi Richard,

Thanks for your reply.

It is not feasible to undo it. You can only delete this OLM folders and import the file again. I’d like to explain that exporting OLM files will not affect your emails in the account unless emails have been missed before in the account.

For missing email issue, it is different with original issue. To avoid confusion for other community members, you can post a new thread with details below in our forum. Then our engineers will focus on the new thread and troubleshoot the issue for you. Your understanding is appreciated.

1. For “I lost a year of archive emails and do not have any current emails.”, when did you lost emails?
2. Do you mean you lost emails after you import OLM files in the new Outlook for Mac or you lost them in the Outlook for Mac 2011?
3. Have you checked emails in Outlook Web App (OWA)?

Best Regards,
Erick

As I understand it, what you’re concerned of is all about Outlook for Mac client. Since our forum mainly focuses on Office 365 Online Services, I suggest you visit our Office for Mac community forum for dedicated help and support. You can select the channel you need from the Office version drop-down list in the left.

Thank you for your understanding.

Copy Outlook files to another computer?

Hi,  I had Office 2011 on my desktop but not my laptop.  I installed Outlook 365 on my desktop but want to duplicate settings and ID/email on my laptop.   What files do I need to transfer and where are they located?

TIA,

Jeff

i don't think the macbook air has a retina and so i do believe the problem only occurs on devices with retina display.  that doesn't really help though as the macbook doesn't have a display port and even if I use an adapter I'm not planning on carrying around a monitor just so i can scroll my emails!  it would be good to know that someone was making some progress with the issue as it is a bit annoying.  I can use the Outlook client as a workaround but I prefer to use the office365 interface.

I am currently using Chrome Version 41.0.2272.89 (64-bit) for Mac OSX 10.10.  To check my work email I use OWA through Office 365.  Over the past few days I have lost the ability to scroll through the conversation list by using the mouse wheel or track pad.  Scrolling in the folder list pane and message pane work fine.  I have uninstalled Chrome, cleared all Google/Chrome data from the computer, and reinstalled.  However, the issue remains.  This issue does not appear to affect Safari on OSX 10.10, only Chrome.

RE: Trouble Signing In

Outlook for Mac (2015) is not syncing Inbox and is incredibly slow on syncing calendar

This is sort of in response to a previous thread that appears to have been somewhat resolved for that user.  (http://community.office365.com/en-us/f/153/t/280914.aspx)

For the past few days, my sync pending for this folder has been intermittent and the same with the calendar.  It seems to stop synching and then pick up synching at odd times of the day.  Yet, if I log into my mailbox through the university's internet portal, I am able to access email that have not synched yet.  It seems to be the same issue that Reinhard had in the previous thread.  It seems to synch, and then it doesn't synch until it decides it wants to synch again.  It's a little frustrating, but fortunately I have another way to access my email.

Please let me know what additional information I might be able to provide that would be helpful.  Thank you!

What is the latest version of Office for Mac? I signed up for Office 365 to get the latest version.

As I started to install the only option I have is Office for Mac 2011.

We have a Office 365 Business Premium account.

Hi Gregg,

Thanks for the updates.

Just as I mentioned as above, the issue could be caused by the specific Outlook client. Now, to further narrow down it, could you please do the following test: temporarily disconnect the connection to your Outlook 2007 and only use OWA (Outlook Web App) for one or two days? If the issue still exists when you only use OWA, which means it isn’t just a client issue, we may need to take further actions for you.

In addition, I would like to share my test accounts with you. Please configure one of them to your Outlook 2007 and use the other one to receive the appointment to see if you can reproduce the issue. Due to privacy, I have sent you the test accounts via the private message. You’ll see it by clicking Private messages under your details section in the upper-right corner.

Gregg, let’s keep communicating in a positive way.

Thanks,
Richard

Hi Jdepoort,

To identify whether the issue is related to your account or your Mac machine, could you try with our test account which can activate Office for Mac successfully on my Mac machine?

Besides, if it is convenient for you, could you check if other students such as your classmates in your school can activate Office for Mac properly?

To protect the privacy, I have sent you a private message with the test account which have some small files in its OneDrive for Business library. You can access it via the steps below:

•  Go to the Your details section on the right side of the community site.

•  Click Private messages.

•  Click the subject title to read the message.

Thanks,

Frank

RE: Subscribed to/added a calendar (.ics) -- how to unsubscribe?

Hi Jason,

Do you mean you open one URL with extension .ics by Outlook client?
If yes, as far as I know, we are able to delete this calendar in your Outlook client if we don’t want to view this calendar. You can refer to the steps below:
Go to Calendar < Other Calendars < Delete Calendar.

If you want to do this in OWA, from what I understand, the OWA is not able to add the calendar with the extension .ics.

If you complete the steps above and the issue persists. Can you provide the following information:
1.Where are you get this link with the extension .ics?
2.Can you provide the detailed steps and some screenshots about how to add this calendar to your calendar?

To upload screenshots, select Use rich formatting, and then click insert /Edit

Thanks,
Toby

Subscribed to/added a calendar (.ics) -- how to unsubscribe?

I subscribed to or otherwise added a campus events calendar, thinking that it would be something I could toggle on/off, but it turns out it simply adds hundreds of events to my calendar and I can't make them hidden. I use Office 365 for Mac via a web browser. Thoughts? I simply need these things gone.
