Hi

I have outlook 2011 and have problems when sending from shared mailbox, it goes to sent items but not of a shared folder. Is there a way to do that?

Also for OWA, how can I when sending email from shared email mailbox, set it to save it on shared mailbox sent items?

Thanks

Hi Mehnihma,

Before moving on, I want to confirm whether you have assigned the “Send as” permission. Please refer to the following article to check whether the Send as permission has been assigned.
http://help.outlook.com/en-us/140/ff852815.aspx

For Outlook 2011
1. You can refer to the following article to add a delegate of the email account that is used for sending as.
http://mac2.microsoft.com/help/office/14/en-us/outlook/item/567a9b64-1672-43e2-b751-31330352f5f5
2. After that, when composing a new email, the email address added as delegate will show under From in Outlook 2011.

For OWA
1. Click Options, select See all options
2. Click Settings
3. Select Always show From
4. After that, when composing a new email, you can choose the delegate mail address under From in OWA.

Thanks,
August Sun

Hi

I did all that, in Outlook 2010 and OWA sending from shared mailbox is working, also sent items for shared mailbox in Outlook 2010.

The problem is only in Outlook 2011 for mac, when I send form shared mailbox I get it in my SENT ITEMS not sent items of shared mailbox like in Outlook 2010.

Second questions is how to do same in OWA, how can sent e mail be copied in shared mailbox sent items when is sent from delegated (shared) mailbox?

How can I set Follow up flags and to-do in shared mailbox in Outlook 2011?

I can only see default mailbox flags. Is there a way to achieve that to see it in left panel?

Hi Mehnihma,

Currently, this feature is not available in OWA and Outlook 2011.
I suggest you submit feedback.
If the service is requested frequently, the product team may include it in the future releases.
Your time and efforts are highly appreciated.

Thanks,
August Sun

Hi Mehnihma,

I suggest you manually configure Outlook 2011 for Mac to connect to Exchange Online and see whether this issue persists.

You can refer to this link: support.microsoft.com/.../2459968

Thanks,

Jerry Cen

Hi Mehnihma,

Do you mean the item isn't showing up in the To-Do List when you flag an item as a to-do item in shared mailbox?

If yes, this is by default.

TTL and domain conversion

Hi,

I would like to convert a domain, and not change (initally) the existing mail server records.

Can I still do the domain verification, but set a lower priority on the verification records, thus not stop email from coming into the current server?

Cheers

-Al

Hi Al,

You can create either a TXT or MX record for domain verification. In order to let the record you created to take effect, the record needs to include the information shown in the following table. Please create either a TXT or MX record, but not both. You can choose which one to create.

Record type

Alias or Hostname

Value or address

TTL

Priority

TXT

@ or your domain;

Use the Destination or Points to Address value.

If needed, use 3600 seconds or 1 hour.

--

MX

@ or your domain;

Use the Destination or Points to Address value.

If needed, use 3600 seconds or 1 hour.

If needed, use a number that is larger than the number specified for our other MX records.

For addition information, here is an article for your reference: Adding your domain to Office 365

Hi,

I installed Lync on one of my Mac computers. I'm trying to add users to my contact list, but it is not allowing me too.

when i type in the field "find a contact" it tries to search the contact, but I never get any results.

Other users are able to add me, but i can't add any of them.

Hi Dan,

Typically, once a user was assigned Lync license and everything was set up correctly, his/her contacts could be searched by others.

Since you cannot search any contacts with Lync for Mac, I suggest you try searching and adding contacts via OWA (Outlook Web App). The steps are as below.

1. Log into OWA with your Office 365 account at: Http://mail.office365.com.
2. On the left panel, under Contact List, click Add contact…, the screenshot shows as below.

3. Search and try to add contacts from the dialog box.

If you can search and add the contacts you want here, please check whether the Lync for Mac works smoothly.

If the issue persists, please let me know which kind of Contacts you want to search and add. Are there any external user contacts, or internal user contacts? Is the opposite site using Lync online or Lync on-premises?

Thanks,
Maggie Li

Hi Mehnihma,

We cannot change that in Outlook client. However, as a workaround, you can check it in Outlook Web App.

Thanks,

Hi Mehnihma,

Yes, you can use the user who has the FullAccess permission of the shared mailbox to sign in for Outlook Web App (OWA) and then open the shared mailbox.

Here is the article for your reference:

Open Another Mailbox

Outlook Meeting Invite 'Online Meeting' button does not work

$

Our company has 50% MAC, 50% PC (Win7). MACs are all Office 2011 with updates as indicated on Office 365 instructions...

All of our MAC users initially could use their 'online' meeting' button in a calendar meeting invite window.  But now it has stopped working.  As soon as they press the 'Online Meeting' button, they get a pop-up window that says, "Please wait...."  This window remains for hours (if you let it) and the only way to get rid of it is to close Outlook (now 'x' on this window to close it).

Any idea of what may be wrong.  Again, this used to work for all users, but now none of them can use the 'Online Meeting' button.  Not good....

Thank you,

Doug
